Rimutaka Cycle Trail—Rimutaka summit tunnel blocked due to slip

A large slip has formed in front of the summit tunnel (Upper Hutt side), preventing access to the tunnel. Signage advising of the tunnel closure is being erected at the Kaitoke entrance of the Rimutaka Rail Trail. DoC Wairarapa will be erecting signage at Cross Creek. Bridge Road update: Completion of bridge construction delayed

Council is receiving requests for confirmation of a completion date. Due to contractual issues and delays in completing connection of the services on the bridge to those in Bridge Road, we cannot advise an actual date. As soon as the information is available we will notify residents. Read more »

Fergusson Drive streetlight repairs

A recent car collision with a pole at Fergusson Drive near Kashmir Avenue caused an 11KV power line to clash with the streetlight circuit. Moonshine Hill Road: reduced access

Recent storms have caused an embankment to slip close to 815 Moonshine Hill Road, reducing the road to a single lane.
