Rider skills training saves lives

Upper Hutt motorcyclists are being offered subsidised skills training in an effort to increase safety on the roads.

UPPER HUTT, Wellington NZ, 10 SEP 2014—In an effort to reduce the number of motorcycle crashes in the Wellington region, local Councils are again offering subsidised rider skills training.

Registrations are now being taken for the next series of one-day workshops, which begin on Sunday 28 September in Lower Hutt.

Workshops cost $20, and give motorcyclists the opportunity to learn valuable safety tips from the experts, as well as improve their practical skills in a safe off-road situation. Half-day courses are available for scooter and moped riders.

Find a complete list of course dates and locations, and register online, on Wellington City Council’s website:www.wcc.govt.nz/motorcycles
