H2O Xtream closed for maintenance after July school holidays

Upper Hutt’s H2O Xtream aquatic centre will be closed for eight weeks from Monday 23 July until Sunday 16 September.

UPPER HUTT, Wellington NZ, 09 JUL 2018—H2O Xtream will be closed for maintenance from 23 July, reopening on Monday, 17 September 2018.

There is a large schedule of work to complete behind the scenes which won’t be visible to the public. The changing rooms are being upgraded, including the installation of a new shower system.

Upper Hutt City Council is excited to be partnering with Hutt City Council to offer a special deal for H2O Xtream customers during this period. A $100 membership to Hutt City Pools during the 8-week closure will allow unlimited entry to Stokes Valley, Naenae, and Huia Pools, and includes their pool group fitness classes. To sign up for this offer, customers are asked to complete a membership form at H2O Xtream reception before Friday 20 July.

“We are grateful Hutt City Council is able to offer such an awesome deal to our regular swimmers so they can continue to swim throughout the closure period,” says Vivian Christy-Jones, H2O Xtream’s Team Leader Aquatics.

Space has also been secured at Stokes Valley and Naenae pools for H2O Xtream squad swimmers during term 3. Places should be booked at H2O Xtream reception by Sunday 15 July. When H2O Xtream reopens in September, there will be an intense 2 week swimming programme for all levels, abilities, and ages.

H2O Xtream will also host one hydrorobics class per week at Stokes Valley pool with instructor Shannon. Classes will be 9.00 – 10.00 am on Wednesdays. H2O Xtream concession cards will not be accepted for this class. If attendees have not purchased the $100 membership to Hutt City Pools, they will need to pay Stokes Valley Pool for a single entry or purchase one of their concession cards.

For H2O Xtream regular customers, a morning tea will be hosted every Friday at Expressions Whirinaki, between 10.00 and 11.00 am. This is an opportunity to socialise and catch up with staff.
