Harcourt Park paddling pool opens this week

Summer is on the horizon and Upper Hutt City’s Harcourt Park paddling pool is ready.

Upper Hutt’s favourite toddlers’ paddling pool will reopen on Wednesday 21 November. The summer season will last until mid-March 2019 but may be extended if weather permits.

The paddling pool features shade sails for sun safety, and spray features which operate between 10am – 7pm, including a spray tunnel and sensor-timed sprinklers.

Upper Hutt residents and visitors are invited to enjoy the facility’s atmosphere alongside Harcourt Park’s other great amenities, which include free electric barbecues, two adventure playgrounds, a children’s learn-to-ride cycle track, and wonderful green surrounds, walkways, and open spaces. Public toilets are also available at the park.

Large groups wanting to use the park’s amenities for particular functions are advised to book one of the available areas with Upper Hutt City Council. Parks and picnic areas can be booked online at

This pool is not staffed, so parental supervision is required for all children in the pool area. Upper Hutt City Council advises families to be sun-smart and requests that users keep the area clean and tidy for everyone to enjoy.
