Upper Hutt has a total industrial land provision of approximately 138 hectares. There is a broad range of industrial activity, mostly comprising of manufacturing, construction, wholesale trade & transport, postal & warehousing, and information technology. The manufacturing sector is the foundation of our industrial economy and employs approximately 1,500 people.
