Rimutaka Cycle Trail—Rimutaka summit tunnel blocked due to slip

A large slip has formed in front of the summit tunnel (Upper Hutt side), preventing access to the tunnel. Signage advising of the tunnel closure is being erected at the Kaitoke entrance of the Rimutaka Rail Trail. DoC Wairarapa will be erecting signage at Cross Creek.
