Resurfacing work on State Highway 2 between Whakatiki and Moonshine

Resurfacing works are scheduled for State Highway 2 between Whakatiki St and Moonshine Road intersections. The work is weather dependent and is scheduled to take place after 9.00 pm on Tuesday 30 and Wednesday 31 October. Road repairs coming for southern Blue Mountains Road

Road repairs will begin on southern Blue Mountains Road on 5 November. The existing culvert under the road at number 1189 will be replaced. Akatarawa Road closed due to slip

3:00 pm update Contractors are allowing vehicles through the site on a sporadic basis while clearing continues. There are more slips beyond the initial site but the road is currently passable through to Waikanae. Drivers are advised to exercise extreme caution.
